H igh performance logic elements
Use of servo-set potentiometer
Useof high speedand multipurposeparallelogicelements
makesthe analogcomputermore hybrid. The elementsfor
the flip-flop. electroniccomparatorand countercan alsobe
set by manual$\,itches.
This is the first attempt at usingthe servo-setpotentiometer
for desk-topanalogcomputers.Sincethe set valueof this
servo-setpotentiometer can be adjustedby external signals.
this element is consideredvery useful for the hybrid
system.Naturally, this valuecan also be easilysetat a high
speedby manualinput signalfrom the settingpanel.
So l ut ion dis play
rectangularCRT, the solutionsobtained
On an easy-to-see
at a high speedare optionally indicated.Sincethis display
device indicatessignalsin four channelssimultaneously
togetherwith electronicmarkers,highlyaccuratereadoutis
possible.
H ighly stable operation elements
A group of stable operation elements, which earneda good
reputationin the Hitachi200 series, are also employedfor
thls series,whether Iinearor non-linearelements.The high
performanceof this seriesresultsfrom Hitachi'sexcellent
circuit engineeringtechnique,fully and freely utilizing
semiconductorsuch as FETs. Integratorcapacitorhas a
patentedby Hitachi.
Optional selection of composition scale
Thanks to use of the thorough unit system, the user can
obtain the desiredquantitv of elementswithout lack or
surplus,and increae or decrease
the numberof operation
elementsoptionallyaccordingto the purposeof use.
From a simple compositionfor teachingto a large-scale
hybrid composition, content selectionrich in varietyis one
of the featuresof this series.

Controlanddisplayunits
With easy-to-operation
pushbuttonswitchesusedbasically,
the 200D series'control panel and variousdisplay units
havehigh performance.
The 200D series'left side parts are a CRT display,and
control and display units for logic elements.Sincethese
partscan be separated
from the main body, it is possibleto
installjust the main body first, and then performadditional
installationas required.
CRTdisplay
The rectangular9" CRT display is easy-to-see
and allows
four channelsof waveformsto be measuredsimultaneously.
In the X-Y display mode, this unit can also display a
Lissajous'figure.
Since an electronic marker generator is incorporated,
readoutis very easy.
Logic control and indication
With a largeindicatorat the centerand key switcheson the
right and left sides.the logic control panel is easy to
operarc.
Logic elements
On the left hand side, the set switch of the flip-flop is
arranged. Throwing this key switch leftward sets the
flip-flop,andthrowingrightwardresetsit.
The indicationsof A and B mean a oosition on the
pre-patchpanel.A and B show the lower and upper steps
resoectivelv.
The key switch on the right side is a manualsetswitchfor
the comparator.lt hasa uniquefunction in that the levelof
the comparatorcan be manuallyswitchedon/off. Throwing
leftward switches it on, and throwing rightward puts it off,
The lower two switchesare manualon/off switchesfor the
digital function deviceinsidethe counter.The displayunit
indicates the operational state of GATE (logic gate).
COMP/SW(comparatorand manual switch), FLIP-FLOP
and COUNTER,etc.Theseindicatorslight up in the SET or
ON positions.
Four thumbwheelswitchesunder the displayunit are used
for selectingone of the counter outputs within 0 to 9.
Theseswitchesare usedto performdebugging,
changingthe
operationtime of the timer,
Four pushbutton switchesCL. RUN, STOP and STEP
locatedat the lowest row are the cpntrol buttons for overall
logicelements.
CL(clear) The resetoutput of the flip-flop is "1".
RUN
The clock on the counteroanelis ooeratrve.
The clock on the counterpanelstops.
STOP
STEP
Push the svitch, and one clock appears
on the STEPterminalof the counter.
The control panel for the analogsystemis locatedat the
left edgeof the main body.
The main partsare arrangedin the followingorderfrom the
too:
I.JNITS
D.V.M.indicator,overloadindicators,
voltmeter,voltmeter function selector,null potentiometer,address
selector, timer and integratortime scale, mode control and power switch, etc.
D. V . M.
A digital panelmeter of 3 or 4 digitscan be mountedon it.
Overload indicator
This overloadindicatoris providedfor monitoringoverload
or overvoltage
of eachamplifier.
DA*143 type amplifier is providedwith a specialcircuit
for detectingan overload,and recoverswithin only 50 !S
underany severeovervoltage
condition.
This is especiallyeffective during high-speedrepetitive
operatron.
Voltmeter
Needletype voltmeterwhich is usedto monitor the power
suppliedand all systemelements.
Voltmeter f unction selector
Rotary selectorswitch which provjdesmonitor selection
and voltmeterranging.
Null ootentiometer
This potentiometeris utilizedwhen the voltmeteris usedas
a nul l meter.
Address selector
Pushbuttonswitch which providesaddressfor amplifier
outputs A 0, A l , B 0, B l , C 0, C 1, trunk l i nes,TO Tl,
potentiometerbus.POT BUSand externalinput EXT.
Timer and integrator time scale
Timer:
This standardtimer for reoetitiveoperationcan
be adjustedasfollows;
x0.1
X1
lms-100ms
100ms- 10sec
Integratortime scale: The time scalesof the integrator
and time delay unit can be changedover by this switch
si mul taneousl v.
Mode control
lC. OP. H : This switch controlsall integratorsin low
speedoperation. lC, OP and H show the
reset,operation and hold statesrespectivelV.
SLAVE :
ln combinationoperation of two or more
computers, the slave computersare interlocked with the main one by pushingthis
button.
POTSET :
In this mode, the potentiometercan be set.
or its valuecan be readout.
ALL lC:
All integratorsassumethe reset condition
regardlessof patching.
P .P .:
lC, OP and H modescan be changedover
from one to anotheron the oatch oanel.
TIIME R :
The timer controlslC and OP.
Powersuitch: AC power $/itch for all power supplies
